Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information yt-manager ("the app", "we") accesses, stores and uses. yt-manager is a desktop application that runs locally on your own computer. It has no servers of its own: it communicates directly from your computer with Google's APIs.
1. YouTube API Services
yt-manager uses YouTube API Services to upload videos to your YouTube channels and to read information about your channels. By using the YouTube features of yt-manager you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Information handled through YouTube API Services is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy).
2. Information we access
When you connect your channel, you sign in with Google and grant yt-manager permissions:
youtube.upload (upload videos) and youtube.readonly (view your
channel). With them, yt-manager accesses:
- Your channels: channel ID, channel name, channel picture and the ID of your uploads list.
- Your recent videos (up to the 50 most recent uploads per channel): video ID, title, thumbnail, privacy status, scheduled publication time and publication time.
- The videos you upload: the video file you select and the title, description, visibility and "made for kids" setting you choose. These are sent to YouTube only when you press "Subir a YouTube" (Upload to YouTube).
yt-manager does not access your email address, your contacts, your comments, your analytics or any other Google data.
3. How we use it
- To upload the videos you choose, with the settings you specify.
- To find the next free publishing slot, ensuring your scheduled videos are properly spaced on your channel.
- To show you the status of your managed channels and uploaded videos, providing links to YouTube Studio.
We do not use this information for advertising, analytics or profiling. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone. It never reaches the developer: there is no server, and everything stays on your computer except the requests your computer sends to Google.
4. Information stored on your device
yt-manager stores the following data only on your own computer, in
~/Library/Application Support/YtManager/:
- The OAuth authorization token that lets yt-manager act on your channels, and the OAuth client credentials you entered.
- Your channel names and pictures, to display them when you open the app. They are refreshed every time you open the channel screen and are never kept for more than 30 days without being refreshed.
- A log of the videos you uploaded with yt-manager (video ID, title, file location on your computer, channel ID, visibility and scheduled time). Each entry is kept for up to 30 days after the upload, or until its scheduled publication time if that is later, and is then deleted automatically.
yt-manager does not use cookies, advertising identifiers or tracking technologies. Its interface is a local page served from your own computer.
5. Deleting your data and revoking access
- Pressing "Desconectar" (Disconnect) in yt-manager deletes the authorization token, the stored channel information and the upload log for that channel, and asks Google to revoke the token.
- You can revoke yt-manager's access to your data at any time from the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. When yt-manager detects that access was revoked, it deletes the stored channel information, and the upload log is deleted within 30 days at the latest.
- You can also delete the folder
~/Library/Application Support/YtManager/to remove everything yt-manager has stored.
6. Google API Services User Data Policy
yt-manager's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy.
7. Children
yt-manager is a tool for content creators and managers and is not directed at children under 13.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
